Værkerne er inspireret af nogle af de gamle fliser som gamle Fanø huse blev dekoreret med. Fra gammel tid hjembragte søfolkene fra Fanø fliser fra Nederlandene og de tjente ikke blot som dekoration, men blev også brugt som et yderligt lag af isolation i husene.

The paper art work is inspired by tiles from Fanø. In the early days sailors from Fanø brought  home tiles from the Netherlands from their trips abroad. These tiles where used as functional decoration on the walls in as many rooms as possible and are still to be seen in many of the old houses today.
